amazing photos! it's almost like looking at geodes, eh? and the wind must have been fierce to get the ice like that in the first one!

Thanks Jon! Yes, the wind the day of taking those shots was fierce, but having seen the interesting "geode" formations, I had to tolerate it to get those before it thawed. All the best.

I have put your suggestion for the chain poem into practice on my blog... but I'm not sure I've articulated the workings of it all that well... 'spose we'll see how it goes though

Thanks Deb. I used a Nikon D70S, and the kit lens, wide angle 18-70. Plus, for close ups like this I added three magnifier lens on that.
