Coloring on a Winter's Day

a wave frozen in time
a hardy bunch
still hanging in there on Jan. 20
this signals the end of a good day

Impressed that the berries are hanging in; we noticed how the trees on our favourite walks got gradually picked off in November and December!

I think the culprits are our feathered friends. A bit too bitter for us, or if they weren't, it would be hard to find any left around this time of year, but I'm glad they are.
