Curler Increases Advertisement Income

Arguably the greatest curler Canada ever had, Kevin Martin is the favorite for gold at the 2010 Olympics. They defeated their first opponent on Tuesday.Martin and team Canada will get plenty of exposure, and he is taking advantage of his personal real estate to draw in some extra coin. Famous Chicken bought up the first days ad space, and Pizza Experts are on top for day two of curling.

Brad Gushue and Team NL are On Fire lately

They beat the best in Canada to win a circuit tournament (Shorty Jenkins Classic in Brockville, On) today. This is their second major win in a week. Well done guys!

Congrats to NL Curling Team on Winning Baden Masters

Team Newfoundland & Labrador has won gold at a curling meet in Baden, Switzerland. Teams from eight countries participated including Randy Ferbey, who won it last year. This has to give Brad Gushue and the team (Mark Nichols, Ryan Fry and Jamie Korab) a confidence boost leading up to Olympic qualifying later this year. They won the same competition in 2007 as well. Good going guys, and best wishes throughout the season.

Junior Women's Curlers Sweep Tournament

Congratulations to Stacie Devereaux, Stephanie Guzzwell, Sarah Paul and Julie Devereaux of Newfoundland & Labrador's Junior Women's Curling team. Just a few hours ago they came from a 6-4 deficit in the 10th end to win 7-6 over Manitoba's team. Three members are attending Memorial University, while one is currently in grade 12 in St. John's. They were inspired by Brad Gushue's win last year, and will no doubt inspire many others themselves. They have done the province proud. Well done girls!
